Cookiepolicy
Senast uppdaterad: Augusti 2026
At Notenrechner, we respect your privacy and believe in transparency regarding how we use technology to deliver our grade calculation services. This Cookies Policy explains how and why cookies and local storage are used on our website.
1. What are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. In addition to cookies, Notenrechner utilizes browser localStorage to store essential settings and subject entries locally on your device without transmitting personal data to our servers.
2. Categories of Storage We Use
We only employ strictly necessary storage and user preference mechanisms:
- Cookie Consent Preference: Remembers your acknowledgment of our cookie notice so you are not prompted on every page load.
- Theme Preference: Saves your chosen display theme (Dark mode or Light mode) to ensure visual comfort.
- Academic Data (Local Only): Stores your entered subjects, grades, and weighting factors entirely within your browser so your data is available when you return.
3. No Third-Party Advertising or Tracking
Notenrechner does not use invasive third-party tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or profiling cookies. All GPA calculations, grade conversions, and formula evaluations occur entirely on the client side inside your web browser.
4. Summary of Stored Items
| Key / Name | Storage Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
notenrechner_cookie_consent | LocalStorage | Stores user acceptance of the cookie notice | Persistent (until cleared) |
notenrechner-theme | LocalStorage | Stores active visual theme (dark / light) | Persistent (until cleared) |

5. Managing and Deleting Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most web browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies and local storage. Please note that clearing local storage will reset your saved grades and theme preference in the calculator.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions or feedback about our use of cookies and privacy practices, please contact us at support@notenrechner.org.
